connect. Well anyone can also punch in the IP 192.168.1.1, (the default IP of the router), its got
a password right? Well lets try the default, UserName: Admin Password: Password, BINGO! Now not
only am I on your network and have access to the computers on it, so if you have any file or print shares I
can access them, but I can lock you out of your own network. Finally, encryption, what is it? When your network
is wide open the data is being transferred in un-encrypted packets on the same frequency as the standard cordless
phone. These packets can be intercepted and read by anyone in range. Encryption is a tool used to encode those
packets using either a 64, 128, or 256 bit key. The router has the key and any computer connecting to the router
needs to provide that key. Now depending on the level of encryption you choose for your wireless home network, it
will be either a 13 digit number a 26 digit number or a 52 digit number, to date 128 bit and higher encryption has
